On March 9 the DUWA Board approved a plan to reimburse the City of Allen Park for historical over payments from the City to Wayne County for its share of the cost of operating the Downriver Sewage Disposal System.  Under the Reimbursement Plan, Allen Park will receive a $500,000/year credit on sewer system charges for the next six budget years.  The Reimbursement Plan has also been approved by Wayne County, and the first annual credit will be made on July 1, 2017.
